The North Way Studio came to the recent end of a long journey, nestling into their new home in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan.  

Maria, designer and goldsmith, is embarking on some of her most intricate wax-carvings to date.  She takes inspiration from her Misfit Diamonds finds, “A dragon’s egg stolen away in fancy white diamond and portrait cut diamonds to gaze within, these diamonds are truly the most magical I’ve seen at my bench.”  The North Way Studio brings old world opulence to life, through intricate floral carvings and fine migraine, consciously crafted with reclaimed and refined ethical golds.  

Melissa Tyson encourages versatility in her bridal collection, offering simple classically set diamonds with the option to stack accent bands for a more elaborate but conveniently interchangeable look.  An array of textures; smooth, hammered, brushed, and high polished  are seen throughout the collection, in all jewelry categories beyond rings. 

Melissa’s three children under 9 years of age are her inspiration in “greening” her jewelry fabrication practice.  She uses recycled gold and the least toxic studio chemicals as much as possible.
