How and when you got into the trade?
Right after finishing my 3 year Jewellery Arts diploma at George Brown College in 2010, I won an Entrepreneur Award through Made You Look jewellery studio. This allowed me to dive right into renting a bench and becoming an in-house designer. With access to an amazing and helpful community of jewellers in the studio, I slowly learned the ropes of running a small business and began building my brand as a custom jeweller.
Where do you take your inspiration from?
I take my inspiration from nature and modern art. But most of all, from unique gems that speak to me and can tell a story.
How would you describe your work in 5 words?
Modern, romantic, old world, timeless, handmade.
What was the most memorable piece that you made?
Most memorable piece to date was the collaboration piece with Misfit Diamonds - Pyrus Ring. We used two incredible checkerboard twin pear shaped diamonds with a mix of small salt and pepper and white diamond clusters. The result is a one-of-a-kind treasure. A nod to traditions and celebration of modern design.

Why do you enjoy working with Misfit diamonds?
What has always excited me about working with Misfit Diamonds is their unique supply of unconventional diamonds. I can always count on finding the most beautiful diamonds with character and excellent quality. They don't shy away from unordinary. And their collaborative spirit among the independent designer community has been so inspiring and nurturing. It's a breath of fresh air within an old school industry.
